    As we enter the cooler season, please remember to adjust your sprinklers to reflect the cooler temperatures. Landscaped areas require far less irrigation during the cooler months. This will help to reduce your water usage and lower your water bill. Remember to change your sprinkler timer; when you change your clocks.

     

    Here are other helpful tips to reduce water usage outside:

     

    ·       Upgrade to a smart irrigation controller. Set it to water early in the morning or late in the evening,

     

    ·       Turn your sprinklers on to check for overspray and malfunctioning sprinkler heads - replace broken sprinkler heads and adjust any sprinklers to avoid spraying sidewalks, driveways and hardscapes,

     

    ·       Replace old sprinkler heads with water efficient models,

     

    ·       Install drip irrigation where possible, and;

     

    ·       Inventory your plants, swapping out water wasters for something more drought tolerant.
