  1. 3/4/2016 KID’S CORNER - LEARN ABOUT WATER AT THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF DENVER
  2.

Looking for something fun to do with your kids this spring break? Why not visit the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus and explore it’s new exhibit WATER? WATER is a 2,200-square-foot “hands-in” water laboratory focused on teaching families about how people interact with water. That’s right, you can actually play in and with water. This fun exhibit will let you and the kids test theories behind flow, buoyancy, density and displacement, all while having a soaking good time.

This new exhibit will let you experience several ways that water plays a very important role in your lives. You can:

    ·       Trigger a thunderstorm - create thunder and rain for your very own storm

    ·       Launch the geyser - make water shoot high in the air from a gigantic geyser!

    ·       The big flush - pull the lever and watch the vortex swirl in a clear plastic silo- it's just like what happens with your toilet at home!

    ·       Play with water jets - use laminar jets to float and hold objects in the air.

    ·       Boat the river - build boats and dams, then send your boats down the river system.

    ·       Make music with raindrops - you're the raindrop percussionist! Control the rate water falls and make your own rhythms on drumheads.

    ·       Paint with water - use water to make art creations on slate.

So this spring break plan for a great adventure! But be warned, bring towels, a change of clothes and extra socks because you will get wet!
